Is it obvious that you are a follower of Christ?

Teaching the basics.

Knowing that if your shoes and socks are not on properly then you will get a blister and you will be off your game.

It is our responsibility to pass on what we have learned to others.

How do we truly follow Christ? Followers are examples.

And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ. I am so glad that you always keep me in your thoughts, and that you are following the teachings I passed on to you. (1 Corinthians 11:1, 2 NLT) - Apostle Paul

Why is important to teach others about Christ? Are we our responsible for others?

Afterward the Lord asked Cain, “Where is your brother? Where is Abel?”
“I don’t know,” Cain responded. “Am I my brother’s guardian?” But the Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground! (Genesis 4:9, 10 NLT)

But you must be careful so that your freedom does not cause others with a weaker conscience to stumble. So if what I eat causes another believer to sin, I will never eat meat again as long as I live—for I don’t want to cause another believer to stumble. (1 Corinthians 8:9, 13 NLT)

It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything else if it might cause another believer to stumble. You may believe there’s nothing wrong with what you are doing, but keep it between yourself and God. Blessed are those who don’t feel guilty for doing something they have decided is right. (Romans 14:21, 22 NLT)

How does this relate to being a true follower of Christ? Our brothers welfare is more important than our freedoms.

“I don’t know,” Cain responded. “Am I my brother’s guardian?”

Followers are reflections of Christ! We reflect Him as best we can. We try to reflect Christ in our speech and in our actions.

Remember there is ALWAYS someone watching you. Are you reflecting Jesus?

Therefore we ARE our brothers keeper. That is why it matters how we act, how we speak, what we watch on tv, and look at our lives.

It ought to be OBVIOUS to anyone who looks at us who we follow. Those who look at our lives are our brothers.
